Mac setup and permissions
ScreenK9 requires macOS 14 or newer and Screen Recording permission to create its Audience View. If the view is blank or an app is missing, quit and reopen ScreenK9 after granting permission, then choose the apps you want to make shareable.
Start with the current build from the download page. Include your macOS and ScreenK9 versions when reporting an installation or capture problem.
Chrome Companion
The free Chrome Companion tells the Mac app whether a Chrome profile is Work, Personal, or Unclassified. Install it in each Chrome profile you use, choose the correct label, and keep ScreenK9 running while Chrome connects through the local native messaging helper.
If a Work window stays hidden, include the Chrome Companion version and whether its popup says Connected. Do not send browsing history, URLs, cookies, or account credentials.
Purchases and licenses
Polar provides checkout, receipts, license keys, and the customer portal. For purchase or activation help, write from the email used at checkout and include the order reference if available. Never send payment-card details or your complete license key.
A ScreenK9 1.x license supports up to three Mac activations. The customer portal can remove an old activation before you activate a replacement Mac.
What to include
Describe what you expected, what happened instead, and the last step that worked. Add the ScreenK9 version, macOS version, Mac model, Chrome version, and Chrome Companion version when relevant.
You can email support@screenk9.com. Before attaching an image, crop or redact client names, notifications, browser tabs, account details, and any other private content. See the privacy model for the product’s exact data boundary.
